As a Commercial Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting data-driven commercial decision-making across the contract. Partnering closely with Service Lines and the Commercial Manager, you'll ensure the integrity of financial data, develop robust financial models, and deliver clear, actionable insights that improve business performance.
This is a hands-on, analytical role where your work will directly support high-quality cost submissions, strong governance, and informed leadership decisions. You'll bring clarity to complex data and help drive smarter, more sustainable commercial outcomes.
As a Commercial Analyst, you'll make a positive impact by:
Maintaining data integrity across variable cost submissions, registers, and repositories
Supporting financial governance processes and stakeholder understanding of requirements
Developing and maintaining financial models for forecasting and decision-making
Analyzing trends, variances, and performance drivers to inform business outcomes
Reviewing variable cost submissions and supporting Service Lines with robust analysis
Supporting contract interpretation, variations, and commercial risk identification
Preparing regular and ad hoc reports for senior leaders
Developing dashboards and visual insights to communicate key trends
Contributing to continuous improvement of commercial processes, tools, and templates
Building strong partnerships with Service Lines through clear, practical commercial advice

We're seeking a commercially astute, analytically minded professional to support contract and hospital performance through costing analysis, interpretation, and forecasting. The role suits someone with strong critical thinking, advanced Excel skills, and the confidence to challenge assumptions to drive better commercial outcomes.
A financial background is desirable but not essential — what matters most is commercial thinking and the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
A degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
2–5 years' experience in commercial or financial analysis, business partnering, or a similar role
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to link financial and non-financial drivers
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
Experience working with reporting systems and document repositories
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels
Experience analyzing large data sets and building data models
Experience with Power BI (or similar), Power Query, or SQL (desirable)
CA, CPA, CFA (or progress toward) qualifications (desirable, not essential)
