About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced Teacher to join the Gippsland Tech School team. As an experienced Teacher, you are responsible for supporting all aspects of the Tech School's teaching programs which includes development and teaching of curriculum that focuses on higher order skills in inquiry, project development and evaluation, critical thinking, and team-based learning. You will assist with engaging partner schools, industry, and TAFE Gippsland, as well as supporting the professional development of other education staff.
About you
As an experienced Teacher, you are motivated and passionate with a demonstrated ability to engage and support learners. You have a knowledge and understanding of contemporary STEAM and high-level ICT skills with the ability to use online and offline technologies and systems to enhance student learning. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
Qualifications and experience
* Bachelor of Teaching (Primary or Secondary) or Masters of Secondary Education
* Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
* Industry or educational experience in Digital Technologies desirable
* Industry experience in food and fibre, health, new energy, advanced manufacturing or other STEM areas will be highly regarded.
Mandatory requirements
* Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
* Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)
* Current Driver's Licence
* Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
