About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant to join our team based in Wynnum on a full-time permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and assisting with warehouse operations to ensure smooth department functioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Loading, transporting, dispatching and delivering items to clients in a safe and timely manner.
* Plan the delivery or pick up route to ensure economical use of time and equipment.
* Ensure adherence to time schedules.
* Review orders before and after dispatch / delivery to ensure that orders are complete.
* Ensure delivery confirmations from each customer.
* Provide excellent standard of customer service at all times.
* Ensure all documents relating to dispatch / deliveries are utilised.
* Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
* Assist with project deliveries & installations as required.
* When not actively engaged in deliveries assist with warehouse functions such as pick, pack etc.
Skills/Experience Required
* Proven experience as a delivery driver.
* Warehouse operations experience.
* Familiarity with warehouse systems and practices.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Dependable, reliable, punctual with excellent personal presentation.
* Good communication skills (written and verbal).
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Full Driver's license.
* MR/HR Driver's license (mandatory)
* Valid forklift license (preferred)
