About the role

Join our team in MacKillop Warrnambool We're actively looking for passionate Case Manager to fill our Permanent Full-Time position.

Our Residential Caree homes provide a safe and nurturing home for our Young People. Each of our homes adopts a therapeutic approach to supporting Young People to heal and recover from the effects of abuse, neglect and separation from family. Case Managers are passionate about helping vulnerable Young People thrive.

As a Case Manager, you'll play a vital role in providing tailored support to young individuals residing in our residential homes. Collaborating closely with our dedicated team of residential care workers, leadership, and volunteers, you'll engage in active team planning sessions to ensure the best possible outcomes. Your responsibilities extend to high level case management, championing occupational health and safety practices, all while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our programs and services. This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity based in Geelong, VIC within our Residential Care Program. The position reports to the Residential Coordinator.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Tertiary qualification in social work community services or equivalent
* A knowledge and understanding of aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by aboriginal children, young people and their families
* Experience in child welfare practise and an understanding of meeting children's developmental needs
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff and other stakeholders

You must have a:

* Valid and current Driver's Licence;
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
* Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
