Fortinet Firewall Engineer

We are partnering with a leading organisation in Adelaide to secure an experienced Fortinet Firewall Engineer for an initial 1–3 month contract, with strong potential for extension into Q1 next year.
This is a hands-on technical role ideal for a Fortinet specialist who can hit the ground running and support a busy network and security environment.
Responsibilities
* Configuration, management and support of FortiGate firewalls
* Ongoing administration and optimisation using FortiManager
* Implementation of firewall policies, NAT rules and security profiles
* Troubleshooting complex network and security issues
* Supporting firewall upgrades, patching and change activities
* Working closely with internal IT and network teams
Skills & Experience
* Proven hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate & FortiManager
* Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing and switching
* Solid understanding of network security principles
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
* Previous contract experience highly regarded
