The Team
Community CYMHS Northwest are a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services, inclusive of the assessment and treatment planning for children and young people in the Northwest region of Tasmania. The team also provides a community leadership role in this space, working closely with partners such as the Northwest Regional Hospital, education, child safety services, youth justice, NDIS, police, education and numerous community-based NGO organisations. Being based in a rural remote region allows the CYMHS team to have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of circumstances and use a creative approach to delivering excellence in mental health care to our consumers, their families and communities.
You will need
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Services Principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies. As a CYMHS clinician you will:
* Undertake assessments, care planning and delivery of individual and group secondary level mental health interventions to children and families, including culturally appropriate services.
* Develop and support collaborative care partnerships with service providers including across primary health, child health and parenting, paediatrics, child safety, education, and child and young person based programs and services.
* Collect and review client and service outcome data and participate in activities to improve client outcomes.
* Contribute to continuing quality and safety, service development and improvement, and professional development processes and standards.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$106,570 to $112,440 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
* Current Working with Children Registration
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
* Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role
* Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role
* Current Driver's Licence
