* Experienced Medical Secretary for Vascular Surgery Practice
* Part-time or Full Time (3-5 days a week) - Above Award Rates
* Working between Wahroonga and Concord locations, with the ability to work both independently and as a team with the vascular surgeon, vascular sonographers and other medical administrative staff.
About the Practice
Central Sydney Vascular is a private practice located in the Parkway SAN Clinic in Wahroonga and Concord Repatriation General Hospital. Led by an experienced vascular surgeon, providing comprehensive assessments and treatments of vascular diseases of the circulatory system as well as advanced ultrasound diagnostics and expertise. We are focused on optimising patient outcomes by maintaining strong communication and partnerships with multidisciplinary medical professionals and providing collaborative, personalised care.
About the Position
Central Sydney Vascular is looking to expand our team by hiring an experienced medical secretary to provide reception services and administrative support. You must be willing to work at both practice locations flexibly. You will have demonstrated experience in a similar role and experience using Gentu would be highly regarded. Your organisational skills, motivation and ability to take initiative will play a key role in ensuring a seamless, patient focused approach to day-to-day operations. Normal office hours are Monday -Friday between 8am - 4:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
* General medical administrative duties, including answering phone calls, email and other enquiries, handling incoming mail and maintaining a presentable office and workspace.
* Organizing of patient referrals and coordinating patient bookings in a timely manner.
* Appointment book management including clinic and vascular ultrasound appointments, surgery bookings for several hospitals and preparation of required paperwork.
* Admin support during clinic sessions, including greeting patients, arranging procedure bookings, processing payments and generating invoices.
* Maintaining electronic patient records including obtaining patient information, scanning patient documents and accurate data entry.
* Corresponding and liaising with patients, GPs, specialists, anaesthetists, hospitals and other health services to ensure that patients medical needs are attended to.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 2 years medical or dental reception experience required
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Reliability and a strong work ethic
* High standard of integrity, empathetic with a patient focused attitude
* Ability to work independently with initiative and as a team member
* Excellent verbal communication skills, enthusiastic and positive attitude
* Strong computer skills and typing ability
* Great attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
* Gentu experience (desirable)
