Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a SmartCOMM Developer located in Melbourne, Australia.
We are looking for an experienced SmartCOMM Developer to design, configure, and integrate SmartCOMM solutions for dynamic document generation. The role involves working with XML-based technologies, API integrations, and template design to deliver scalable and personalized customer communications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop document templates using SmartCOMM tools (Communication Designer, Template Editor, Data Model Designer, Interactive Editor).
* Configure and maintain Data Models, Layout Mappings, and Content Rules.
* Integrate SmartCOMM with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs or batch processing.
* Develop and maintain automation scripts and SmartCOMM APIs.
* Conduct unit, functional, and regression testing for document outputs (PDF, Word, Email, SMS).
* Troubleshoot and resolve SmartCOMM-related issues.
* Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
* Document configurations, processes, and best practices.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
* 6+ years of hands-on experience in SmartCOMM development.
* Proficiency in XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and HTML/CSS.
* Experience with SmartCOMM modules: Data Modeler, Advanced Template Designer, Web Editor.
* Strong understanding of CCM (Customer Communications Management) platforms.
* Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
