The Opportunity
Sara Lee is looking for a Maintenance Electrician. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment, supporting production through breakdown response, fault finding, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, equipment uptime, and safe production operations in a manufacturing environment.
Shift & Flexibility
This is a Monday to Friday position, offering stable weekday work with occasional weekend overtime for planned maintenance and projects.
You’ll also be required to support the team by covering afternoon and night shifts when needed, providing essential leave coverage to ensure continuity of breakdown response, maintenance support, and production uptime across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to electrical breakdowns and provide rapid fault diagnosis and repair
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing equipment
* Install, test, and commission electrical systems and machinery
* Perform fault finding and troubleshooting across production and packaging equipment
* Support equipment reliability, downtime reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimise plant performance
* Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and food manufacturing standards
About You
* Qualified NSW Licensed Electrician (essential)
* Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or fast-paced maintenance environments
* Strong fault finding, breakdown response, and problem-solving skills
* Experience with preventative maintenance and plant reliability (highly regarded)
* Basic automation / PLC exposure desirable but not essential
* Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams
* A proactive, solution-focused mindset
