The Test Lead will work within the Rest DTD, Quality Assurance team to provide a range of testing services to ensure the successful release and deployment of software to the wider Rest business. This role exists to ensure the quality and reliability of software by leading the planning, execution, and management of testing activities within Agile & waterfall projects. This role is crucial in identifying and mitigating risks early, ensuring that defects are promptly addressed, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality software that meets business and user needs.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

* Exposure to Data Warehouse Testing
* Should be familiar with ingestion, Conformed / Transformed Layers, Models and Reporting layer testing
* Hands-on experience with testing different transformation patterns in Data warehouse like SCD – Slowly changing Dimension, CDC- Change data capture, business temporal pattern, dimensions and measures.
* Should be able to interpret Source to Target mapping document and convert them to required testing queries
* Understanding of different Data Quality Dimensions and implementing as part of test coverage
* Strong SQL skills and technical analysis especially to interpret data transformations.

* Exposure to Snowflake or similar data warehouse tool
* Hands-on experience with DBT – Data Build Tool or other similar ETL tool
* Data Test Automation experience –
* Experience with prior test automation framework on data warehouse space and CI/CD integration for data platforms
* Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and data testing framework (Great Expectations, dbt test)
* Expected to adopt given framework and build required test scripts using both standard and local project libraries. Python scripting experience is must with exposure to pytest and pandas libraries.
* Familiar with Code versioning tool, preferably Git, handling PR reviews and other best practise around version control and maintenance of source code repositories.
* Technical comprehension of application ecosystems, including various integrations, data flow, and access control
* Ability to manage test data and environments for multiple streams of delivery work
* Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices and testing approaches
* Exposure to AWS cloud resources is preferrable
Qualifications

in technology, project management or relevant business discipline
* Formal QA certification
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:

* Lead and develop comprehensive test plans for ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers
* Build and review test cases, test automation scripts, test execution and PR’s as applicable
* Collaborate closely with data engineers, product owners, analyst, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage.
* Experience in leading teams of 4-5 members with responsibility for task prioritization, mitigate any blockers and provide technical support and direction.
* Strong stakeholder management skill
* Facilitate UAT with relevant business stakeholder
* Agile work experience / squad and product delivery team setup
* Exposure to test management tool like Zephyr
* Good with documentation to capture concise information on all work-related items and adhere to project standards.
