Our client is a well-established medium-sized national manufacturing company that supplies a range of steel building products and accessories (residential, commercial, industrial) to the marketplace. They are committed to delivering tailored solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality, made-to-order products.
As one of two Account Managers for this branch, you will be responsible for a geographical territory (Caboolture to Maroochydore / Sunshine Coast) and report to the Branch Manager. Your role involves proactively promoting the company, quoting, and selling a variety of products to a customer base including roofing/trade contractors, builders, and resellers—covering residential, commercial, industrial, and home improvement accounts. You will manage an existing customer base and proactively seek new business opportunities within the region. Ultimately, you will be accountable for a sales budget (revenue and margin), aiming to grow sales, profit, and market share.
To succeed as a Sales Professional, you should have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs, with experience in the residential and commercial building industry. Experience in selling made-to-order or tailored metal building products is highly regarded. By understanding your clients' businesses and building strong relationships, you will deliver value and sell the value proposition while providing exceptional service. You should be a proactive hunter, capable of managing existing accounts and seeking new opportunities. Strong planning, time management, communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills, commercial awareness, results orientation, IT literacy, and a passion for active customer engagement are essential. As a true team player, you will take ownership of your territory and contribute to the company's ongoing success, with opportunities for career growth and rewards for your achievements.
