**Novotel Surfers Paradise is conveniently located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, close to all forms of public transport and iconic beaches. The hotel features 408 rooms, with a variety of dining options including: The Hotel Restaurant, Blvd Cafe and Bar, Pool bar as well as in-room dining. For our conferencing & events guests we have 6 modern function rooms available, accommodating up to 500 delegates.**
We are currently seeking a Reservations All-Rounder to work across reservations and guest services. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Reservations Supervisor, and work closely with the front office and sales teams. Your will duties will include but are not limited to:
**What will you be doing**:
- Providing a warm welcome for all enquires and promptly answering all in-coming calls for reservations, restaurant bookings, and room service as well as travel agent enquiries. Ensuring accurate details are recorded.
- Taking room service orders and reconciling credit card transactions.
- Ensure an accurate and complete guest history exists for all return guests and that details of arrivals are communicated to Management.
- To be knowledgeable on all services and facilities provided by the hotel; operating hours and products available and upsell to add value to our guests stay.
- Research and process no shows, trace report, arrivals check and any other reservations operating procedures on a daily basis as directed by the Reservations Supervisor.
- Logging maintenance requests and lost property items.
- Liaising with internal departments in a proactive manner to ensure group and guest requirements for specific bookings are met.
- Confidently describe our rooms and facilities to potential guests and be well informed about our Hotel in order to up sell facilities and services.
**What we're looking for**:
- Previous Reservations or Front Office experience within a 200+ Hotel (Experience with ACCOR group is highly regarded).
- Passion for guest engagement, always seeking to find options and the YES for the guest.
- Have a strong knowledge of Opera would be highly advantageous, micros skill desirable and proven strength using Microsoft office
- The capability to work well independently within a supportive team environment
- The ability & flexibility to work across a 7 day working environment, including week-ends, late nights and public holidays.
- You'll be working across a variety of people, so your communication will be adaptable. You'll be a brilliant communicator - consistently clear and concise.
- Experience in handling a high volume of reservations and a good eye for detail - our processes are super important in helping us deliver a consistent guest experience.
- Passion to sell and accommodate our guests in a competitive environment.
