As part of an exciting project at the University of Sydney, we are seeking a Research Associate or Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to accelerating ternary neural networks using FPGA devices.
Job Overview
This role will involve delivering outcomes in a research project and meeting milestones. You will work closely with colleagues and postgraduates within the project, preparing materials for publications in journals and conferences. Additionally, you will collaborate with industry partners and leaders in the field of FPGA-based machine learning accelerators.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to a research project focused on FPGA-based AI hardware acceleration
* Collaborate with colleagues and postgraduates to deliver project outcomes
* Prepare materials for publications in journals and conferences
* Cultivate relationships with industry partners and leaders in FPGA-based machine learning accelerators
Requirements
* Strong experience in FPGA design, machine learning, or a related field
* In the case of the Postdoctoral Research Associate, a PhD (or near completion) in FPGA design, machine learning, or a related field
* Experience in developing machine learning models using Python and PyTorch
* Expertise in two or more technical areas: design of FPGA-based accelerators, high-level synthesis for FPGA design, quantisation of deep neural networks, large language models
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
