We are currently seeking an experienced local Electrical Supervisor for an immediate start in Karratha, on a 2/1 roster.
The Role
This is a hands‐on supervisory position for an experienced A-Grade Electrician who thrives on variety and is comfortable moving across diverse project and maintenance environments. CPC works with a broad range of clients across the Pilbara's energy, resources and industrial sectors, from major LNG and oil and gas operators to mining companies, chemical and fertiliser plants, and industrial processing facilities.
Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, you will oversee a small team of 6-10 electricians and numerous clients we supply to. The candidate will be someone who rolls up their sleeves, knows their trade inside out, and makes the people around them better providing industry leading knowledge and skillset to drive CPC Engineering Electrical forward.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and direct electrical trades across a range of client sites spanning construction, communication and maintenance scopes
* Plan and coordinate daily work packs to keep the crew productive and on schedule
* Manage permit to work, LOTO and electrical isolation processes to the letter
* Run pre-starts, toolbox talks and JHAs
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams and specifications
* Liaise with client representatives, engineers and other trade supervisors on site
* Adapt quickly to varying client systems, standards and site‐specific requirements
* Mentor and support your crew, from apprentices through to experienced A-Grade electricians
* Complete daily diaries, timesheets and progress reports accurately and on time
* Uphold the highest standard of workmanship in line with AS/NZS 3000 and individual client requirements
* Support commissioning and pre‐commissioning activities as required
About You
You are a multi‐skilled, adaptable Electrical Supervisor who has worked across more than one sector. You will bring broad construction industry knowledge, and mining experience delivering in key indicators and client requirements.
You will be accustomed to dealing with multiple clients at any one time while providing strong communicative and commercial deliverance with industry knowledge and best practice.
Qualifications / Tickets
* Current WA Electrical Supervisor S26 (Preferred)
* Current WA Electrical Licence
* Solid supervisory experience across oil and gas, LNG, mining, chemical, fertiliser or heavy industrial environments
* Demonstrated ability to work confidently across multiple client environments and work types, including construction, shutdowns and maintenance
* Strong working knowledge of PTW, electrical isolation and LOTO procedures
* The ability to lead and develop a close‐knit crew and set the standard
* Confident reading of electrical drawings, schematics and specifications
* High‐risk work licences as relevant (EWP, forklift, etc.)
* Strong communication and reporting skills, written and verbal
* A broad understanding of construction industry practices and multi‐trade interfaces
* Current First Aid certificate
