This is a senior product leadership role within a large, complex and multi-brand automotive group operating across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The business has a significant footprint across trade, retail and specialist wholesale, and is in the midst of a wider transformation to simplify operations, strengthen competitiveness and lift commercial performance.

The mandate is clear: bring strategic and commercial discipline to a technically strong but operationally complex portfolio. You'll streamline structures, embed stage-gate discipline, modernise ways of working and build a high-performing team capable of taking a large, diverse product range forward.

The Opportunity You'll lead the portfolio with accountability for product strategy, financial performance, NPD and supplier partnerships. It's a role with significant visibility and genuine opportunity for impact.

What you'll be doing

* Full ownership of a $150M+ multi-brand portfolio, ensuring coverage, competitiveness, customer alignment and profitability.
* Leadership of a 9-person product team, lifting commercial capability, strengthening decision-making discipline and building succession depth.
* Development of a three-year category and range strategy across both owned and market brands.
* P&L accountability, including pricing, promotions, margin optimisation and category growth.
* End-to-end lifecycle management, embedding structured stage-gate and exit processes to reduce complexity and obsolete stock.
* Ownership of the NPD pipeline, from concept and business casing through to launch, training and in-market traction.
* Supplier negotiations, co-funding opportunities and long-term strategic alignment across key partners.
* Cross-functional collaboration with sales, procurement, supply chain, demand planning, retail and marketing to deliver cohesive go-to-market execution and aligned operating rhythms.

About you You're a senior product, category or portfolio leader who thrives in large, complex environments. You bring:

* 10+ years' experience in wholesale, distribution, industrial, manufacturing, automotive or similarly complex multi-brand portfolios.
* Demonstrated success in portfolio optimisation, lifecycle simplification and commercial uplift.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls, pricing strategies and commercial levers.
* A track record of building and developing teams, coaching technically strong managers into commercially astute leaders.
* The ability to drive process discipline, simplify complexity and influence across competing stakeholder groups.
* Pragmatism, resilience and emotional maturity, with the ability to lead change in a shifting environment.
* Experience working with international supplier networks is advantageous.
