Help keep one of Victoria's key livestock facilities running safely and efficiently. We are seeking a motivated and experienced GRLE Supervisor to join our team at the Gippsland Regional Livestock Exchange (GRLE).
**About the role**
As GRLE Supervisor, you will assist with day-to-day operations, supervise casual staff, and ensure the Exchange meets industry, compliance and safety standards. From overseeing livestock handling and saleyard maintenance to monitoring sales processing, you will be central to keeping the Exchange productive, professional and customer focused.
**Key responsibilities**
- Coordinate operational activities to ensure the GRLE runs efficiently
- Supervise, train and support staff to maintain a safe, compliant workplace
- Oversee NLIS, animal welfare, and industry accreditation requirements
- Monitor sales processing, reporting and saleyard software systems
- Liaise with stock agents, contractors and industry stakeholders
- Assist the Team Leader with budgeting, reporting and stakeholder engagement
**About you**
- Significant experience in saleyard or livestock industry operations
- Strong knowledge of livestock handling, NLIS and animal welfare standards
- Supervisory experience with the ability to roster, train and motivate staff
- Sound judgement, problem-solving skills and an eye for process improvement
- Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office; saleyard management systems desirable)
- Current Victorian driver's licence (and ability to meet vaccination/OH&S requirements)
