Majestic Young Plants is a propagation nursery and horticultural company, supplying wholesale markets both in Australia and internationally with high quality plant material.
We are located in Healesville, Victoria. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced horticulturist/scientist to oversee our laboratory tissue culture program.
Key responsibilities-
* Oversee laboratory operations
* Assist with nursery plant health and hygiene
* Oversee nursery mother-stock for tissue culture initiation material
* Relationship management of new and existing suppliers
* Drive growth through new program development, of new and existing tissue culture programs
* Be willing to adopt and implement a continuous improvement philosophy
Requirements-
* Bachelor level qualification in a crop science or plant biotechnology discipline
* Experienced applicants of at least 1 year of tissue culturing
* Strong knowledge of vegetative and tissue culture production techniques
* Plant knowledge and understanding
* Experience in horticulture supply chain and procurement.
* Laboratory operations experience a necessity
The successful applicant will work in conjunction with our Operations Director and Managing Director, General Manager & Production Manager.
