About The Role
BRG is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), within the Australian Passport Office (APO) in Canberra. This role sits within the Procurement, Finance and Assurance function and focuses on delivering end-to-end procurement support within a structured Commonwealth environment. You will work across a range of procurement activities, supporting both operational and strategic outcomes while ensuring compliance with government frameworks.

* Security Clearance: Baseline required
* Working Arrangements: On-site preferred (flexibility considered on a case-by-case basis)
Duties & Responsibilities
* Support delivery of end-to-end procurement activities, including approach to market processes (RFQ, RFT, evaluations)
* Assist in development of procurement documentation, ensuring alignment with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
* Support contract establishment and administration, including stakeholder engagement and supplier coordination
* Contribute to contract and performance management, including monitoring KPIs, deliverables and service outcomes
* Assist in identification and management of procurement risks and issues, including development of mitigation strategies
* Support compliance with governance frameworks, including documentation, reporting and audit requirements
* Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective procurement outcomes
* Contribute to a collaborative and compliant working environment aligned with DFAT standards
To be Successful
* Demonstrated experience in procurement within a Commonwealth or Government environment
* Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
* Experience supporting approach to market, evaluation and contract establishment activities
* Ability to work within structured governance frameworks and meet deadlines
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple procurement activities
Desirable
* Experience working within Federal Government departments (e.g. DFAT, Defence, APS)
* Exposure to contract performance management and supplier engagement
* Understanding of risk, compliance and procurement governance frameworks
