Our Company

Asian United Food Service is an award winning Territory family business, established in Darwin for over 40 years. As a Countrywide group member, AUFS is part of a network that delivers high quality goods to over 80,000 food service operators nationally.

Locally, we service a broad range of industries in different locations, including the hospitality, tourism, mining, government departments and agencies in Darwin and along the Northern Territory borders.

Due to our continual growth, we require a Telesales Clerk to join our team on a full time basis.

The Role

As part of the Telesales Team, you will be responsible for processing customer orders into the system, ready for pick up or delivery. You will be well versed across all the products available to our customers to make recommendations, substitutions, engage in up selling and complimentary selling.

* Full time, averaging 38 hours a week
* Salary range depending on experience and skills $53,000 - $56,000
* Immediate start
* Monday – Friday hours with Saturday overtime on offer

Duties/Responsibilities

* Answering all calls and forwarding to appropriate personnel
* Answering all customer calls and provide solutions on queries and requests
* Enter customer phone orders into Dynamics 365
* Monitor Sales' email inbox and process any orders via email into Dynamics 365
* Contact customers to advise of unavailable items and provide alternatives
* Process any amendments to picking slips to then generate the invoice
* Participate in up-selling and complimentary selling
* Assist with any other duties as per the Office Manager's requirements
* Providing ad hoc administrative support as required
* Assisting with other various team/department orders

Skills/Competencies Required

* Have excellent phone manner
* Have experience in customer service, focusing on good outcomes for the customer
* Have experience in using computer systems, MS office, Outlook emails, Word and Excel
* Be proficient in the English language and have great writing, reading and speaking skills
* Be able to work in a robust environment
* Have a sense of humour
* Be reliable, punctual and have initiative
* Have a high level of attention to detail
* Have full working rights in Australia
* Have experience in the food industry is highly considered
