About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Melbourne based Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you'll be the go-to expert on workplace legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements, and employment conditions. You won't just keep us compliant — you'll help translate complex regulations into practical, easy-to-understand guidance that empowers our leaders and supports our people. Working alongside the Head of HR, you'll advise on entitlements and workplace rights, keep us ahead of changes in employment law, and ensure our policies and practices remain current and effective. If you have payroll experience, that's a real bonus — and if you're someone with extensive payroll expertise looking to broaden your career into other areas of HR, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to extend your skills while making a real impact on our people and culture.

What you will be doing:

* Support the Head of HR in implementing the HR strategy, with a focus on workforce planning, industrial instruments, employee relations, performance improvement, recognition, and employee engagement.
* Respond in a timely manner to requests and queries from various stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectations.
* Lead complex employee relations cases, including misconduct, injury management, return-to-work and planning, and mediation.
* Maintain effective working relationships with relevant union and industry representatives, and employer associations.
* Provide advice and interpretation on legislation, modern award's, enterprise agreements, employment terms and conditions and other employment regulations.
* Contribute to the rollout out and uptake of HR frameworks and policies such as performance planning, review and development, and capability development.
* Support managers in embedding values, building trust, and improving employee engagement by active participation in people and culture initiatives.

What will make you successful:

* 5 years plus experience in a HR business unit.
* Extensive industrial relations experience, leading negotiations in a unionised workplace, preferably FMCG / Manufacturing.
* Previous payroll experience in a unionised industry will be highly regarded and is a strong foundation for success in this role.
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource or related disciplines.
* Strong influencing, relationship management and conflict resolution skills.
* A people person with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly organised and strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage own tasks and workload as needed.
* Exceptional communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
* A collaborative mindset and genuine passion for building positive workplace culture
* Quarterly travel to NSW

What's in it …. for you?

* Monthly product allocations – Enjoy our iconic brands at home, on us
* Work from home Thursdays – Balance flexibility with connection
* Be part of a household name – join a trusted leader in the FMCG industry
* Supportive, high impact HR team – gain exposure across all areas of the business and contribute to meaningful change
* Collaborative culture – work with passionate people who value transparency, trust and continuous improvement

This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact — not just on compliance, but on how our people experience work every day. If you're ready to bring clarity, confidence, and care to the heart of our HR function, we'd love to hear from you.
