Join Our Growing Bakery Team in Maroubra.
We are seeking a qualified, experienced full time Pastry Chef to become a key member of our expanding bakery.
The ideal candidate will have Certificate 4 in Patisserie and Diploma in Hospitality, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage daily operations in a busy bakery.
To be considered for the position applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Be highly energetic with a strong passion for baking
- 2-3 years experience with making cakes, hand moulding, shaping, cutting brioche and sweet doughs
- Knowledge of deck ovens & baking
- Solid in croissant, snail, danish production
- Sound knowledge in weighing ingredients for different type of bread and pastry
- Lamination
- Chocolate tempering, Toffee and caramel cooking
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining top-notch quality and consistency
- Be capable of working both independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Bring creative ideas to our pastry menu and contribute to menu development
- Take initiative and stay highly motivated in a busy kitchen setting
- Ensure the safe and proper operation of bakery equipment and utensils
- Be punctual, reliable, and well-presented
- Have strong time-management skills and the ability to effectively organise and prioritise tasks
- 5 to 6 days a week on a rotating roster basis. Early morning starts and weekends essential!
