This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred Prosthetic and Orthotic care within an interprofessional hospital environment, while developing your clinical expertise through supervision, education, and service improvement initiatives.
Your new role:
As a Prosthetist / Orthotist, you will deliver evidence-based Prosthetic and Orthotic services across Princess Alexandra Hospital and Metro South Hospital and Health Service. Working within an interprofessional team, you'll support patients through assessment, intervention, education and discharge planning, while continuing to grow your clinical skills under the guidance of experienced senior clinicians.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering Prosthetic and Orthotic assessment, intervention and evaluation in line with clinical protocols and ethical standards
* Managing an allocated caseload with effective prioritisation, documentation and reporting
* Applying increasingly independent clinical judgement with senior supervision and support
* Working collaboratively within interprofessional teams, including participation in case conferences and meetings
About you:
You are a motivated and compassionate Prosthetist / Orthotist who values teamwork, learning and delivering high-quality care. You enjoy working in a hospital environment, are confident communicating with patients and colleagues, and are keen to develop your clinical practice while contributing to service improvement.

About us:
The Prosthetic, Orthotic and Podiatry Services Department is a multi-disciplinary clinically based Allied Health Department, providing high level clinical and consultancy prosthetic, orthotic and podiatry services to the specialist Acute and Rehabilitation Departments of the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Metro South Hospital and Health Service. The department is also responsible for the clinical coordination of the Princess Alexandra Hospital Amputee Clinic and the Chronic Foot Care Clinic
