Due to continued growth, we are seeking the long‑term employment of a Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our expanding Gladstone team. The position is suited to a service technician who is serious about growth and developing their career. Duties and Responsibilities
Working both autonomously &/or within a tight‑knit team, the Fire Sprinkler Fitter is supported by administrative and trades persons to carry out works on a wide variety of fire sprinkler systems inclusive of hydrant and pumped systems. Key to the role is maintaining ARA Fire's excellent service to our customers throughout the Gladstone region.
The ideal candidate will:
* Test, inspect and repair fire sprinkler systems, hydrant & hose reel systems, pump systems, special hazard systems, other mechanical/wet duties as required.
* Knowledge & understanding of relevant Australian Standards for the products being installed/repaired.
* Be a part of the on‑call roster for emergency breakdowns.
* Be committed to the overall profitability and growth of ARA Fire through the interaction with the various divisions and its people.
* Have the ability to plan and manage wet fire service jobs.
* Excel with customer correspondence.
Position Pre‑requisite
* Sprinkler fitter trade qualification with a QBCC Fire Protection – Water‑based fire system - Install and Maintain – licence class.
* Extinguishing agent handling licence (EAHL).
* Ability to understand the many various brands of fire sprinkler systems and the way they operate.
* Strong personal interaction on a client basis.
The successful applicant may have the opportunity to be trained in other facets of the Fire business so that you can become a well‑rounded fire maintenance, fault finding and repairs technician.
