Culinary Expert Wanted
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated culinary expert to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving customer satisfaction and growth through their exceptional cooking skills and leadership abilities.
* Follow direction from the Head Chef on menu development, specials, and trends.
* Collaborate with the Sous Chef to conduct tastings throughout the menu creation process.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is used efficiently and effectively.
* Support the Head Chef in ensuring menus are prepared as per prep lists and recipe cards.
* Take on board staff and guest feedback delivered by the head chef to constantly improve and evolve.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in managing stock levels, receipt, storage, and rotation requirements.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef in managing menu costings in line with profit margins, COGS, and competitiveness.
* Minimise wastage throughout the kitchen by implementing efficient food management systems.
* Accurately complete stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
* Utilise kitchen equipment effectively and consistently use required PPE.
* Ensure recipes (including specials) and necessary equipment are used correctly for service execution.
* Efficiently manage kitchen prep and close-down tasks in a timely manner.
* Work across different kitchen sections efficiently and ensure consistency.
* Maintain presentation, taste, temperature, freshness, and quality of dishes presented to the head chef.
