Responsibilities
* As a Personal Care Assistant, you will report to the Care Coordinator.
* Assist patients with their mobility and communication needs.
* Assist patients with personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating.
* Participate in planning the care of individuals.
* Follow therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems.
* Observe and report changes in patients\' condition, and report complaints about care.
Qualifications
* Must have at least one year full-time relevant experience (or pro-rata part-time or casual work).
* Preferable a relevant AQF Certificate III.
* Willingness to travel distance and work various hours.
* A roadworthy and registered vehicle and hold a current C class drivers' licence.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to demonstrate empathy with elderly residents.
* The ability, and commitment, to uphold high standards of work.
What's on Offer
This is a permanent full-time position. Salary offered is $73,000 – $79,800 plus superannuation. The salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
