Job Description
As a Research Support Officer (RSO) you will provide a key role in providing high level research support including a diverse range of research, administrative, event and communication activities that contribute to the effective functioning of the Group's research centres and institutes. This includes Griffith Institute for Tourism, Griffith Asia Institute and the Centre for Work, Organisation and Wellbeing.
This position formally reports to the Manager, Group Research Support Services however, the position may sit amongst the School's Research Entities who direct the day-to-day priorities and work of the RSO. This position will primarily support the activities of Griffith Institute for Tourism with potential collaborative work across other entities.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Assist with research reporting requirements such as milestone and budget reports, and other routine correspondence related to research projects.
* Undertake operational, administrative and project work, including clerical support to Directors and committees, reporting on project resources, coordination of expertise across the University, external engagement, and event management.
* Provide administration and management of the research budgets and accounts, and HR requirements related to active research projects.
* Preparation and/or Analysis of data and reports to track research performance outputs (e.g. publications and income).
* Manage and promote the Group, School and Research Entities strategic research programs.
* Review and update the School's research-related web/intranet content and draft marketing and communication content as required.
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
Note: this position can support a job share arrangement where, combined, the hours ideally equate to full time.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 6 range $91,843 - $97,964 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $107,456 - $114,618 per annum.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role:
* The occupant of this position will hold relevant qualifications, or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge and experience and/or education/training.
* Demonstrated high level of organisational and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
* Understanding of university systems relating to finance, HR, and research administration is desirable.
