 
        
        Job Title: Medical Urology Specialist
The role of a Consultant Medical Uro Oncologist is multifaceted, encompassing regular outpatient clinics, attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings (MDMs), prescription and oversight of systemic anticancer therapies (SACTs), clinical supervision of non-medical staff, clinical governance, service development initiatives, ward reviews, and on-call duties.
The appointee will contribute to teaching and supervision of medical students, junior medical staff, and allied health professionals/nurses.
Applicants are encouraged to engage in research and audit activities and provide support to junior team members in their audit projects.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Lead regular outpatient clinics for uro-oncology patients.
 * Attend MDMs to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans.
 * Prescribe and oversee SACTs for patients with cancer.
 * Provide clinical supervision to non-medical staff.
 * Ensure effective clinical governance practices within the department.
 * Develop and implement service improvement initiatives.
 * Conduct ward rounds and participate in on-call duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
 * Specialist registration as a consultant physician or equivalent qualification in uro-oncology.
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
 * Strong leadership and management skills.
 * Capacity to teach and supervise junior medical staff and allied health professionals.
