We are currently recruiting for multiple Casual Catering Assistants to join our Spotless team located at Villawood Immigration Centre, Sydney. Spotless, as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, will be responsible for preparing and serving culturally diverse, nutritious meals contributing to the overall health and well-being of those in the centres.
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
* Assemble, prepare, and produce food requirements as directed by the Chef Manager/Head Chef.
* Cleaning the food preparation and consumption areas, cooking equipment and utensils.
* Ensure compliance with the HACCP Food Safety Plan, monitoring food safety standards and practices, maintaining hygiene in food preparation areas, and completing all Food Safety Documentation accurately and timely.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is operated following safe work procedures, maintained in a clean and safe condition.
What you'll bring
* Must have Cert II in Commercial Cookery – Kitchen Operations or higher or willing to obtain
* Food Safety Certificates
* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
* Full understanding of HACCP Food Safety guidelines
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities
* Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
