Perigon Group is proud to be partnering with a well-established, Brisbane-based private lender to appoint a Credit Analyst into their commercial credit team.
This organisation operates in the non-bank lending space and specialises in short-term, property-backed finance for Australian businesses. With strong deal flow and an established broker network, they have built a reputation around speed, certainty of execution, and a highly commercial approach to lending.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to step into a lean, high-performing credit function where you will work closely with senior decision-makers and gain exposure to the full lifecycle of commercial lending transactions.
You will be responsible for assessing, structuring and packaging deals, with increasing involvement in presenting and influencing credit outcomes as your capability develops.
Over time, there is a clear pathway to take on greater ownership within the credit function.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess property-backed commercial lending transactions across a range of scenarios
* Structure facilities aligned to risk appetite, security position and exit strategy
* Prepare clear, well-reasoned credit submissions for approval
* Work closely with brokers and internal stakeholders to progress deals efficiently
* Ensure all submissions are complete, accurate and commercially sound
* Contribute to ongoing improvements in credit processes and deal flow management
About You
* Experience within commercial lending, with exposure to property-backed transactions
* Strong understanding of credit fundamentals including security, LVR, valuations and risk assessment
* Ability to analyse financial information and form a clear credit view
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate and support credit recommendations
* High attention to detail and ownership of work
