Role Description
This full-time, on-site role is based in Perth, WA. The Plastic Fabricator will focus on fabricating plastic components, customizing products based on client specifications, and assembling safety equipment such as fume cupboards and chemical-resistant ducting. Day-to-day tasks include working with materials like PVC and polypropylene, using tools and machinery for cutting, welding, and shaping plastics. The successful candidate will collaborate with other tradespeople and contribute to both small projects and larger installations, ensuring the quality and precision of manufactured products.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience in plastic fabrication processes, such as cutting, welding, forming, and assembling plastic components.
Technical understanding of materials like PVC, polypropylene, and chemical-resistant plastics, along with the ability to interpret technical designs and blueprints.
Proficiency in using fabrication tools, machinery, and best-practice production techniques for custom plastic projects.
Strong problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality and safety-compliant products.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Previous experience in chemical handling or fume extraction systems is highly regarded but not mandatory.
A trade qualification in plastics fabrication, engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
