The Role Reporting directly to the Property Manager, this position is designed for a versatile, skilled professional who thrives in a high-intensity mixed-farming environment. You will be heavily involved in every stage of the cropping cycle across 5,500 acres of cereal, legume, and fodder crops. This includes precise ground preparation, planting, and an intensive spraying program to ensure optimal crop health and yield. Beyond the machinery, you will be expected to perform general farm maintenance to keep the overall operation running smoothly.
A vital part of your daily responsibilities involves assisting with the management and health of the livestock. You will oversee the welfare of 350 F1 Santa Hereford Cross cows, requiring a keen eye for animal health, nutritional needs, and the ability to execute cattle work effectively. You must be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, liaising with contract staff when required, while maintaining high standards across both the cropping and livestock divisions.

The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a \"can-do\" attitude and an understanding of modern mixed farming practices, who has a thirst for continuous learning. In addition, they will possess the following:
* Cropping Expertise: Proven experience across the full cropping cycle, including planting and chemical application.
* Animal Husbandry: Competent in cattle handling with a strong focus on maintaining animal health and welfare.
* Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and a reliable approach to work.
* Independence: Ability to work alone for extended periods and manage time effectively.
* Maintenance Skills: Handy with general farm repairs and equipment upkeep.
* Licenses: HC truck license or above, Chemical Users Certificate.
* Technology: Exposure to Agriwebb and Farm Bot is considered advantageous.
