Looking for Tradies & TA's to work on a shutdown crew in the Bowen Basin
Your new company
Our client specialises in providing comprehensive maintenance and servicing solutions for fixed plant equipment. They focus on enhancing equipment reliability through the implementation of industry best practices. Their team is skilled in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, conducting thorough inspections and tests, and ensuring adherence to WHS procedures. They are currently looking for Fitters, Boilermakers, Electricians & Trades Assistants to begin on site ASAP.
Your new role
We are looking for fitters, boilermakers, electricians & trades assistants. Your duties will include, but not limited to:
* Inspect, repair and maintain fixed plant equipment
* Overhaul pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors and crushers
* Perform isolations, lock‑outs and safety checks
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
* Replace worn parts, components and structural steel
* Complete welding, fabrication and wear‑plate repairs
* Assist with strip‑outs, rebuilds and reinstallations
* Carry out statutory inspections and documentation
* Operate tools and equipment safely under site procedures
* Maintain clean, organised and hazard‑free work areas
* Support trades with labouring, spotting and task preparation
* Work to tight shutdown schedules to minimise downtime
What you'll need to succeed
* Trade Qualification - for trades position
* Previous coal mining experience
* Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical
* Working at Heights & Confined Spaces Tickets - highly desirable
* Current Drivers Licence
* Contactable references
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
* Ability to complete a police check
* Be willing to do DIDO (within 550km of site)
What you'll get in return
If you secure this role, you'll join a shutdown's roster with a reputable contractor on site. There is consistent and long-term work available. You will be ideally commencing ASAP, as you should have the site ready tickets. You will be paid an attractive hourly rate + super + travel and will receive a weekly pay.
