We are currently seeking energetic and experienced Housekeepers to join our busy team. We currently have the option to Live-On Island or Commute, based on skills and preferences.
Position Overview:
As a Housekeeping Attendant, you are responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You will ensure that all resort guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and well-presented environment at all times. Time Management without compromise of service is a crucial requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean and service guest rooms, suites, and villas in accordance with resort standards.
* Replenish room supplies such as towels, toiletries, and minibar items.
* Ensure all public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, and corridors, are kept clean and tidy.
* Report maintenance issues, lost property, or damage immediately to the appropriate department.
* Follow proper procedures for handling laundry, linen, and waste disposal.
* Adhere to health and safety protocols, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
* Respect guest privacy and ensure "Do Not Disturb" signs are followed appropriately.
* Support colleagues in other areas when needed, particularly during peak periods.
* Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor with guests and staff alike.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning (resort or hotel experience preferred).
* Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
* Good physical stamina and ability to stand or move for extended periods.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Trustworthy, reliable, and punctual.
* Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
* Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
* Must have a current National Police Check issued by Queensland Police or able to obtain one within three weeks of commencing employment- for all live on Island staff.
* Employees whose duties include driving a company vehicle, must hold a current QLD Driver’s License.
