General Manager Support Officer

Position Responsibilities

As the General Managers Support Officer, your role is an incredibly important one.

You will work closely with the General Manager Sports and Community Infrastructure (GM SCI), providing high quality, confidential, articulate and proactive support to the GM and broader SCI branch.

There will be no question as to your professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality to the sensitive, political and at times impactful information you may see, that may be sensitive to our branch, council or the community.

You will thrive on the challenge of being one step ahead, proactively managing tasks such as room bookings, meeting requests, document preparation (including reporting) and generally doing what you can to provide high quality administrative, tailored and customer orientated support.

Additionally, In this role, you will:

* Assist the GM with development and input of operational, branch business and monthly reporting reports, including collaborating and contributing to corporate reporting.
* You're a driver (not Passenger) of culture and reward and recognition. You'll love being able to own and drive R&R initiatives across the branch
* Be accountable. You will never shy away from passing on important information, being honest if you have made a mistake, missed a deadline or need a hand.
* 'Read' your audience and understand how you may best communicate, engage or time your interaction or communication.
* Be collaborative, self-managed, extremely proactive and always looking at ways, you can be one step ahead, and have your GM equipped, prepared and trust that everything is there, ready to go.

Key indicators for success:

* Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in the provision of high-level business and administrative support to a Senior Management position, requiring the use of excellent time management, organisational skills, a high level of attention to detail and pre-emptive thought processes.
* Demonstrated proficiency in the use of software applications and systems with practical experience and competency in the application of Microsoft office suite of products and document management and financial systems.
* Demonstrated ability and experience in performing basic financial administrative tasks and responsibilities such as raising purchase orders, requisitions, running end of month financial performance reports and interpreting basic financial information and reporting.
* Current \"C\" Class Driver licence
