The Opportunity We are seeking a passionate and experienced Quality Technician to join our quality team yet located in the Cochlear Brisbane Operations office (Newstead). This hands-on role offers exposure to product testing, manufacturing processes, and quality operation in a regulated environment. You’ll support production and quality engineering teams, lead Manufacturing Quality testing activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that keep our GMP practices scalable and efficient. Responsibilities include yet are not limited to: Execute and Facilitate MQP Testing Plan, perform, and document product testing in line with Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQP), ensuring timely sample collection, adherence to test protocols, and escalation of non-conformances. Provide Ongoing Production Support -Support daily manufacturing and logistics operations by participating in quality meetings, reviewing relevant quality records, assisting with investigations, and performing line audits. Generate Metrics and Reports -Produce and present key performance metrics and data analysis related to non-conformances, concessions, and MQP activities to support quality reviews and decision-making. Drive QMS Compliance and Improvement -Participate in audits, ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and contribute to continuous improvement of Quality Management System (QMS) processes and documentation. Collaborate Across Teams to Resolve Quality Issues - Work closely with Production, Engineering, and external partners to investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain scalable, compliant manufacturing practices. Proactive Problem Solving -Take initiative in identifying process improvements and contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Apply analytical thinking to support data-driven decisions and continuous improvement. Collaboration & Communication -Work effectively with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, and external partners. Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally, especially when addressing quality concerns. Attention to Detail & Compliance - Maintain high standards in documentation, audit readiness, and adherence to GMP and QMS requirements. Ensure accuracy in batch record reviews, test results, and reporting. Why this role is for you?
