About the role
IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and security of BGL's IT infrastructure. This role ensures reliable and efficient operation of systems, networks, and services to support business operations and deliver quality technical support to staff.
What you'll be doing
Offering 1st and 2nd level technical support to staff, trouble shooting hardware, software and connectivity issues
Maintaining network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and wireless monitoring traffic for performance and security anomalies
Management of cloud based platforms and services, supporting hybrid environments and cloud migration initiatives
Manage updates, installation, configuration, licensing and debugging of business applications
Develop scripts and automated workflows to improve operational efficiency, implement and manage monitoring and alerting tools
Contribute to IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, new deployments, staying current with emerging technologies
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration
Up-to-date knowledge of modern IT technologies and industry trends
IT support experience or client IT support
Knowledge of Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems, workstation and server editions
