To carry out guarding duties at guard sites in accordance with Certis Standing Orders and site instructions, in compliance with AS4421-1996 and all relevant State and/or Federal legislation.Workplace Health & Safety

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the perimeter security is maintained through patrolling along the agreed route on the complex
- Ensure an effective response capability to any incidents on the complex
- Detection of and responding to suspicious behaviour
- Assist in the prevention of and respond to inmate escapes
- The detection and reporting of suspicious items / contraband
- Identification and reporting of signs of forced entry /exit
- Conduct regular checks of the perimeter fencing for defects or breaches of security
- Ensuring restricted areas are intruder free
- Address unauthorised personnel in restricted areas
- The apprehension and detaining of persons believed to have committed an offence.
- NSW Security License - Category 1AC & F (Firearms)
- NSW Firearms Accreditation - Revolver & Semi-auto
- NSW Firearms License - Category H Security Officer (Full Licence)
- First Aid Certificate
- NSW Driver's License (Full Licence)
- Certificate three in security operations; including batons and handcuff
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a capacity as an armed security officer
- Full vaccination is mandatory for all applicants.
