About the Role
ActewAGL is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Division. Reporting to the Financial Controller – Evoenergy, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial accounting and management reporting for our electricity and gas distribution network businesses.

A day in the life
* Complete financial accounting duties in line with Australian Accounting Standards and ActewAGL policies.
* Manage month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations using Oracle ARCs.
* Oversee financial management of ACT electricity feed-in tariff schemes, including reporting and executive presentations.
* Maintain key controls over revenue and cost recognition, ensuring data integrity across billing and financial systems.
* Provide month-end analysis, identify anomalies, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Assist with external audits and contribute to financial modelling and management accounting tasks.
* Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes.
* Support project governance, executive reporting, and Oracle system users.
What We're Looking For
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting or related discipline, with CA/CPA membership (or advanced progress).
* Strong technical accounting skills and experience applying Australian Accounting Standards.
* Demonstrated experience in financial accounting (utilities or large infrastructure preferred).
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with TM1 and Oracle Financial Suite highly desirable.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
