About the role
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for the management and optimisation of CatholicCare’s revenue processes and to ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoicing, claims and reconciliation of payments received.
The primary objectives of the role include:
* Provide leadership and mentorship to the Revenue Team, ensuring that staff are well trained, clarifying role expectations and upholding CatholicCare standards;
* Implementation and oversight of CatholicCare’s revenue function, including all income recognition, bad debts, hardship provisions and related procedures, work instructions, forms, and policies;
* Work closely with other departments to ensure all income, funding and client contributions are recognised and reconciled;
* Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends, market conditions and emerging opportunities to drive CatholicCare service fees and funding opportunities;
* Responsible for ensuring client and funder enquiries are responded to within a timely fashion;
* Accountable for timely and accurate issuing of monthly invoices and statements;
* Accountable for reconciling HCP and NDIS claims and receipts and responsible for manual NDIS claims.
What We're Looking For
Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or other Business related discipline;
Experience in client and stakeholder relationship management;
Experience within the Community Care sector (Desirable);
Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and support decision-making;
Proven ability to develop and execute revenue strategies aligned with CatholicCare’s objectives;
Excellent communication skills to engage with funders, clients, and internal teams;
Commitment to exceptional customer service for internal and external stakeholders;
Leadership experience in motivating and aligning teams with organisational goals;
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and financial management tools;
Strong ethics, integrity, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
