Role Summary
The SAP Project Manager for SuccessFactors and ECP Implementation is responsible for end‐to‐end delivery of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) projects. This role ensures successful planning, execution, migration, testing, cutover, and deployment of HR & Payroll processes in line with business goals, compliance requirements, and global SAP best practices.
The role requires strong expertise in SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Payroll processes, HR transformations, and managing cross‐functional stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Planning & Delivery
o Develop project plans, timelines, resource plans, risk logs, RAID items, and deliver status reporting.
o Ensure scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards are strictly adhered to.
o Manage change requests, scope variations, and project governance processes.
* Stakeholder & Team Management
o Coordinate with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, Compliance, and external SI vendors.
o Facilitate workshops for requirements gathering, solution design, and UAT.
o Manage functional and technical teams (SF consultants, integration specialists, payroll experts).
o Provide high‐quality communication to sponsors and steering committees.
* Functional Expertise – SAP SuccessFactors & ECP
* Oversee design, configuration, and deployment of
o Employee Central (EC)
o Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
o Time Off & Time Tracking (if in scope)
o Role-based Permissions (RBP)
o Integration with SAP S4, middleware (SAP CPI/WebMethods)
o Validate solution architecture, data models, workflows, and payroll schemas.
o Ensure compliance with local legal, tax, and statutory payroll requirements.
* Data Migration & Integration Oversight
o Lead data mapping, transformation, cleansing, and validation cycles.
o Govern integrations between SuccessFactors and SAP S/4, Time & attendance solutions.
o Ensure secure handling of HR and payroll data.
* Testing & Quality Management
o Create and manage SIT, UAT, Regression, Payroll Parallel Run plans.
o Coordinate test cycles, defect triage, and sign‐offs.
o Ensure payroll accuracy through multiple parallel pay runs.
o Develop cutover strategy, timeline, and resource alignment.
o Coordinate mock cutovers and production readiness assessments.
o Manage hypercare activities and ensure smooth transition to BAU/AMS teams.
* Risk, Compliance & Governance
o Maintain RAID logs and ensure risks are mitigated early.
o Drive compliance with HR/legal regulations.
o Ensure payroll legislation compliance.
o Adhere to internal audit/security policies.
o Ensure documentation meets audit and SOX requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
* Technical & Functional
o 8+ years IT project management experience.
o 3+ years delivering SAP SuccessFactors EC/ECP projects.
o Deep knowledge of SuccessFactors architecture & modules.
o Employee Central workflows, MDF, RBPs.
o Payroll schemas, wage types, off‐cycle processes.
o Experience with SAP CPI/Webmethods integrations.
o Strong PM methodology: Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall.
o Solid experience handling parallel payroll testing cycles.
o Ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts, and SOWs.
* Soft Skills
o Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making ability.
o Leadership and team coordination skills.
o Ability to work in fast‐paced, high‐compliance environments (e.g., utilities, banking, public sector).
Preferred Qualifications
* SAP Certified EC/ECP Associate (preferred).
* PMP/PRINCE2/Agile PM certification.
* Experience in utilities, energy, public sector, or large enterprise HR environments.
