The Machine Operator role is a Full-Time position based at Darra, QLD. You will be operating the machines in the factory that produces Rooftiles. You will report to the Operations Manager. The day shift is Monday to Friday 4:00am – 1:30pm with some Saturday shifts. A forklift licence is required.
Responsibilities
- Champion a safety-first culture within the factory in pursuit of a zero-harm environment, ensuring you Never Walk Past.
- Operate multiple machines, fault find and perform quality control checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to 5S standards in the work area.
- Record data on quality sheets.
- Conduct oil level checks.
- Reset and start tile machines.
- Refill sand bins as needed, with relevant certifications.
- Assist in other roles when necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness of recycle conveyors.
- Perform asset care in accordance with CSR PM Way standards.
- Uphold high standards of housekeeping.
- Forklift licence required.
What You Bring To The Role
- Demonstrated progressive experience in a production or process technical role in a similar industry (warehousing or large manufacturing environment).
- A strong commitment to safety awareness.
- Willingness to learn and absorb recent information and skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
