About The Role
Reporting directly to the Inside Sales Manager, the ideal Business Development Manager will have a proven track record of success in a B2B sales environment with an in-depth understanding of the Caravan, Marine or Motorbike marketplaces and competitive landscape within Australia. They will have extensive business development capabilities with a passion for developing their area of business. They will consistently strive for sales excellence and have a explicit strategic vision with the ability to identify and translate challenges into business opportunities that benefit our clients and the business.
What You'll Do
- Deliver monthly and quarterly revenue targets, ensuring 100% KPI achievement
- Develop and execute national and quarterly sales strategies focused on segmentation, visitation cycles, and revenue growth
- Drive both account management growth and new business acquisition opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry leaders across Caravans, Motorbikes, Marine, and related sectors
- Champion sales excellence through customer satisfaction, long-term strategic planning, and market expansion
- Provide market intelligence and dealer insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Campaign planning with trade marketing to build a yearly plan for acquisition and account management (retention)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Dealer Sales and Operations team) and externally (Dealer principals, General Managers, Marketing Managers, OEM partners, industry experts, and key suppliers) to strengthen market presence and performance
What you'll bring
- 3-5 years of experience in digital sales
- Experience working in the caravan/marine/motorbike industry, highly advantageous
- Extensive experience in prospecting, negotiating, closing and conflict resolution
- The ability to ensure that client issues are dealt with efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service
- Experience in building out national sales strategies to identify commercial opportunities
- Proven track record and experience communicating with senior business owners, franchisees, professionals and decision makers
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present and use PowerPoint
- Be a self-starter who is autonomous, organised and has excellent time management skills
- A data-driven approach to everything you do
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills and exposure to Salesforce CRM
