About the Role: As a Psychosocial Peer Worker, you'll draw on your own lived or living experience of mental health challenges and recovery to provide compassionate, trauma-informed support.
Your unique insights will help foster trust, empower young people, and promote resilience.
Working alongside our Psychosocial Youth Workers and Hospital and Health Service teams, you'll play a vital role in integrated care in the Darling Downs region.
What You'll Do Build authentic, strengths-based relationships with young people and families.
Share your lived experience appropriately to inspire hope and recovery.
Support capacity building, wellbeing skills, and psychoeducation.
Co-facilitate psychosocial group sessions and outreach activities.
Advocate for the voice of lived experience within services and team discussions.

Have completed or willingness to complete Cert IV in Mental Health Peer Work.
Ability to use your experience professionally to support others.
Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred, recovery-oriented practice.
Strong interpersonal, organisational, and collaboration skills.
