About the role
A unique opportunity to work a predominately Tuesday to Saturday schedule as a Chef. This role reports directly to Operations Managers and ensures the smooth running of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
Duties
* Preparation and cooking of meals as per the set menu
* Ensure meals are of high quality with excellent presentation
* Communicating with Site Manager and Facility staff
* Provide supervision and direction to Kitchen Staff
* Ensure safe food handling and hygiene practices are maintained
* Completion of food safety documentation
* Maintain feedback monitoring processes
* Adhere to budgets, stock take and regular ordering procedures
* Assisting with kitchen staff schedules and filling shifts
Skills & experience
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Experience in Aged Care preferred
* Experience with Western Cooking
* Basic computer skills, including Outlook and ordering processes
