Our Seniors Living services offer a continuum of care across seven retirement living estates, including residential aged care homes and our in-home care provider, RAAFA HomeCare.
About the Role
At RAAFA HomeCare we are passionate about helping older Australians live life their way, at home, with dignity and independence. We are seeking Qualified Community Support Workers who will connect, care, and make each day comfortable and enjoyable for our clients. You will become part of our client’s support system, assisting to maintain well-being and independence while living at home, and building meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients across the Perth Metropolitan Area.
- Assist with personal care with respect and dignity.
- Support clients with shopping, meal preparation and transportation.
- Carry out domestic tasks to keep the client’s home clean and organized.
- Support clients socially and domestically while creating a positive rapport.
- Encourage and promote independence and freedom of choice.
- Support with extended respite services when needed.

Requirements / Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support Aged Care or equivalent (essential).
- Previous experience in Community Aged Care (preferred).
- Valid driver’s licence with access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and ability to relate to older people and understand their needs.
- Flexible decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to plan and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Eligible to work in Australia.
- National Police Certificate (on commencement within six months) or willingness to obtain one.
- Up-to-date with COVID-19 and flu vaccinations.
