**About the Opportunity
Working within the Macro Space and Format Innovation team, this role is responsible for delivering optimsied floor plans through project based activities and supporting stores in reviewing space queries to deliver best outcomes for our stores and customers. This role will be required to work cross-functionally within internal stakeholders (e.g Mirco Space, Buying Team, 360 Team & Operations)
Success in this role will require the ability to take data and translate it into a floor plan, following strict flows, adjacencies and standards, while ensuring the customers is always at the heart of what we do.
**What you'll do
**Working within the Merchandising & Customer Value (MCV) team, the Macro Space Planner role is responsible for the development of space-efficient and effective floor plans via both the new/renewal program and project-based activities across the supermarket network.
As a part of this team, you will be required to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g micro space, category planning, commercial team, store format, operations, supply chain team) to ensure the best macro space outcomes are achieved for our stores and customers. You will understand how customers shop and how to manage floorplan space accordingly utilising customer data.
Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Develop optimised, customer-centric, commercially and operationally efficient floor plans via sophisticated space models for all new store, refurbishment and commercial project delivery.
- Work closely with key stakeholders - Micro Space, Format Development, and Commercial Teams to ensure the best space outcomes are achieved for the business
- Maximise the return on space for all store on new and renewal stores Ensure all relevant market, space and customer insights are integrated into floor plans

- Demonstrated experience in a retail (stores) or FMCG environment, ideally in a space & range planning/ merchandising role
- Ability to learn new concepts and strategies quickly to achieve the best result
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, numeracy and written skills.
