About the business The organisation is experiencing a significant growth phase and is looking to welcome experienced, passionate Payroll Officer to join their finance team and run their end to end payroll process.
Joining a collaborative team, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate payroll process and reporting are maintained, supporting people delivering a vital community service.
About the Role As the standalone Payroll Officer, you'll manage the end-to-end payroll function and provide hands-on support across finance and administration.
This is a varied role with the opportunity to add value across process improvement, compliance, and reporting for approx 200 staff.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:- End-to-end payroll processing (fortnightly, monthly, and ad hoc) Superannuation, PAYG, salary sacrifice, QLeave and reconciliations Onboarding, employee changes, and leave management Preparing management reports and payroll journals Performing monthly and quarterly reconciliations and EOM processes Supporting audits and maintaining accurate payroll documentation Assisting employees with payroll and system queries Contributing to continuous improvement and compliance initiatives About you Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing Sound understanding and ability to interpret Awards and payroll legislation (SCHADS experience highly regarded) Intermediate Excel Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset What's on offer?
