Where you\'ll be working
The Occupational Therapy department at Prince of Wales Hospital employs up to 36 therapists across acute, rehabilitation and outpatient caseloads. This position will job share the Acute Neurosciences role 0.5FTE which provides inpatient care to people with neurological disorders. You will also be working 0.5FTE in our community / outpatient palliative care team which supports people with life-limiting conditions to achieve their end-of-life goals.
The Occupational Therapy department supports clinicians to provide best practice, person centred care through:

You will be provided with clinical supervision and support to ensure your professional development needs are appropriately met. You will be expected to work autonomously and may provide support to the Allied Health Assistant and other Occupational Therapists across POWH.

Selection Criteria
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and Current Registration with AHPRA.
- Extensive postgraduate clinical experience.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to provide education to enhance service delivery and to supervise others clinically.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning and independent professional judgement.
- Ability to initiate and lead quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation with staff.
- Commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
