On behalf of Geelong Coastal Hire, Workforce Extensions Geelong are seeking a reliable and organized Yard Coordinator to join the operations team in Corio. The role involves preparing equipment for hire, general maintenance, cleaning, loading/unloading, and ensuring the yard is safe and organized. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in presentation, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
* Hours: 4:00am - 12:30pm, Monday to Friday
* Initial training will be completed within standard daytime hours until confident in the role
* Pay rate: $33-$38p/hr
Key Responsibilities
* Load and unload equipment safely onto vehicles using forklifts or manually
* Clean, inspect, and prepare hire equipment for delivery or collection.
* Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment (e.g., fuel, oil, tyre pressure)
* Organize and maintain the yard area to ensure efficiency and safety
* Assist with stock control and inventory checks
* Monitor for any equipment damage or issues and report to the supervisor
* Ensure tools and machinery are stored safely and correctly
* Provide general assistance to drivers, workshop staff, and customers as needed
We're Looking For
* Strong experience with Counterbalance Forklift (LF)
* Experience in yard, logistics or hire industry operations
* Strong time management and problem-solving skills
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Flexibility to work more hours during peak seasons
* Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
* Comfortable with early starts and physical work
* Required: Forklift license
* Ideal: Truck license (MR or above) & Test and Tag
