ConsMin is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Fuel Officer to join our team at the Woodie Woodie Mine. This position operates on a 7:7 FIFO roster ex Perth, offering an excellent work‐life balance. Reporting to the Supply Supervisor, the successful applicant will be required:
The purpose of this role is to safely, productively, and cost‐efficiently contribute to the success of the Site Supply department, ensuring fuel availability and supporting operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing fuel inventories to ensure availability and alignment with site requirements
* Coordinating daily fuel operations, including scheduling and planning with carriers
* Liaising with transport and logistics teams to ensure timely fuel deliveries
* Maintaining accurate fuel records, usage data, and reporting
* Monitoring fuel levels across site and coordinating replenishment
* Conducting daily fuel farm inspections and planned maintenance checks
* Performing bulk fuel and oil dips as required
* Pumping fuel bunds and sumps when necessary
* Maintaining and troubleshooting the Banlaw fuel management system, including updating asset and delivery data
* Completing daily risk assessments (Take 5's, JHAs, safety observations)
* Communicating supply disruptions or issues in a timely manner
* Conducting regular stocktakes and assisting with discrepancy resolution
* Supporting accounting processes including invoicing, reconciliation, and month‐end close
* Assisting in reporting and tracking carrier performance
* Coordinating fuel farm maintenance and resolving operational issues with stakeholders and contractors
* Assisting with general warehouse and project‐related duties as required
About You
* Experience in supply, warehousing, fuel handling, or a similar role within mining or heavy industry (highly regarded)
* Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and system issues
* Exposure to fuel management systems (e.g. Banlaw) or willingness to learn
* Sound computer skills, including experience with MS Excel, Outlook, and data entry systems (Pronto experience desirable)
* Strong attention to detail with accurate record‐keeping ability
* Proactive approach to safety, including experience with Take 5's, JHAs, and hazard identification
* Strong problem‐solving skills and ability to work autonomously
* Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
* Current C Class Driver's Licence (essential)
* Forklift Licence (desirable, but not essential)
